Jarrold says Thank You to East Anglian Air Ambulance
On Saturday 24 January Suzie Abel & Carole Slaughter accompanied Sarah Lengsfield to the HQ of the East Anglian Air Ambulance to present a cheque to the crew that had attended Sarah’s accident last August.
Sarah met paramedic Ben Caine and pilot Neil Waller who had last seen her when they flew in to administer pain relief. Ben then accompanied her by ambulance transfer to A&E.
Sarah was able to thank all the crew for helping her and they were delighted to see the progress Sarah had made.
We are photographed on a very cold and windy runway outside the helicopter presenting a cheque for £3,500 which had been raised by the staff of the store – from a fashion show and raffle organised for staff, family and friends, a fund raising beauty initiative by the Beauty team and a donation from staff Christmas cards.
Joanna Cartwright thanked us on behalf of the EAAA and said how much the team appreciated people coming back to see them. It costs £3,000 each time they fly to an incident and the Air Ambulance is typically called out 3 to 4 times per day.
