Jarrold Group is delighted to announce its support for Saltwrights through the Jarrold Growth Fund, helping the Norfolk-based business expand its reach and share its distinctive hand-crafted sea salt with a wider audience.

Founded with a passion for reviving Norfolk’s historic salt-making heritage, Saltwrights produces naturally harvested sea salt using traditional methods that harness the power of the sun and wind. The result is a product that reflects the unique conditions of each batch, creating subtle variations in flavour and texture that set it apart from conventional sea salts.

Through the Jarrold Growth Fund, Saltwrights will receive tailored support from Yawn Marketing, Jarrold Group’s marketing agency. This support will focus on strengthening the business’s Shopify platform, refining its advertising activity and developing a wider marketing strategy to support the company’s next phase of growth.

The investment comes at an exciting time for Saltwrights as interest in artisan food products, provenance and traditional production methods continues to grow among consumers.

Caroline Ellis, Group Business Development Manager at Jarrold Group, said:

“What drew us to Saltwrights was not only the quality of the product, but the incredible story behind it. They are reviving an important part of Norfolk’s heritage using natural processes that have shaped this region for generations.

“The unique nature of their salt means no two harvests are quite the same. The drying conditions bring out different flavours and textures, creating a product with genuine character and provenance. Through the Growth Fund, we’re delighted to support the business with specialist marketing expertise to help tell that story and reach more customers.”

Norfolk’s connection to salt production can still be seen today in local place names such as Salthouse, reflecting the industry’s historic importance to the region. Saltwrights is helping to preserve and reintroduce that legacy for a modern audience, producing salt using a natural evaporation process where wind and sunshine work together reducing the brine to create the finished crystals.

The support from Yawn Marketing will help ensure the business is well positioned to scale sustainably, strengthening its e-commerce capabilities and building greater awareness of its products and heritage-led brand story.

Frances Jackson, Co-Founder of Saltwrights, said:

“We are incredibly grateful for the support from the Jarrold Growth Fund. As a growing business, having access to expert marketing and e-commerce guidance is invaluable and will help us reach the next stage of our journey.

“Our aim has always been to celebrate Norfolk’s rich history of salt production while creating a truly distinctive product. We’re excited to be working with Jarrold Group and Yawn to share that story with more people.”

For Jarrolds, Saltwrights embodies exactly the type of business the Growth Fund was created to support: a Norfolk brand with a strong sense of place, a commitment to craftsmanship and a clear ambition for growth. Through practical marketing support and strategic guidance, Jarrolds hopes to help the business share its unique story with a wider audience and accelerate its long-term success.
