The Homewares department at Jarrold Department Store has received another award from the housewares industry. The Excellence in Housewares Awards have been embraced by the industry and recognised as the ‘Oscars’ for the housewares trade.  The awards shine the spotlight on both retailers for their retailing excellence as well as suppliers for their product innovation and service acumen. This year’s ceremony was held at the Lancaster London Hotel where Jarrolds beat off stiff competition including Harrods in Knightsbridge to be named Best Independent Department Store. Buyer/Manager Jennifer Read was presented the award by Greg Wallace of Master Chef fame.

John Adams, Jarrold Trading Director, said: “We were thrilled to receive such recognition from leading professionals in the housewares industry. In our Homewares department we offer a wide range of top quality products from both long-established suppliers and new, innovative brands. It’s good to know that our varied range of product lines coupled with well-trained, knowledgeable staff seems to be hitting the mark”.

It is the second year running Jarrold have enjoyed award success; Jennifer Read was named Best Buyer at The Excellence in Housewares Awards 2011.
